Christmas in Alicante, Christmas in style

The people of Alicante have a reputation for always wanting to celebrate everything, and in style. We love a party, and Christmas is no exception.
The city council offers a Christmas agenda that even the most grinch of the family will love, with great plans for all tastes, focused on both the youngest and the oldest of the house, plus, with the great weather we have, you can stroll through the city, walking the streets full of lights and Christmas decorations while enjoying a winter in the sun.

These are the plans we have for you this December in Alicante:

  1. You can’t miss the exhibition of the Monumental Nativity Scene (the largest in the world) in La Explanada, as this year it will also be joined by the Three Wise Men. You can also visit the other nativity scene in the Town Hall, which has the slogan “Nativity in the heart of Alicante”, as well as the nativity scenes in the Plaza de la Montañeta and in the Palace “El Portalet”.
  2. Visit the Christmas fairs from 1st December to 8th January in Av. Federico Soto. You have a choice: The Christmas Craft Fair (from 10am to 3pm and from 5pm to 11pm), and the Antique and Second-hand Book Fair from 10am to 10pm.
  3. A great plan for the little ones: visit the Casa de San Nicolás! In Plaza Seneca, which will be full of Christmas attractions for children, Christmas decorations and craft workshops. Opening hours are Monday to Sunday, from 10am to 3pm and from 4pm to 10pm. To enter the Casa de San Nicolás you must make an appointment on the website www.alicante.es. And bear in mind that it will only be open until 24 December.
  4. Enjoy the fireworks by Pirotecnia Ferrández, in the Monte Tossal car park on 11 December at 8:00. It will take place at the end of the match between Hércules and Deportivo Aragón, with the idea of being a tribute from “Todas las Fiestas Populares de Alicante” to the centenary of the founding of the Blue and Whites’ club.
  5. Go and watch the carol singing competition in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento. The first of them, on Saturday 10th, from 7pm to 9pm. The second, Sunday 11, in double session: from 12 to 14 hours, and from 18 to 21 hours.
  6. And finally, from 26 December to 4 January, in the beautiful Gabriel Miró square, the themed Royal Postmen’s Camp will be on display, a real spectacle for the little ones. An online appointment service will also be available on the Town Hall website from 20 December, starting at 9am.

These are our favourite plans of the Alicante Christmas agenda, but there are many more, stay tuned to our instagram @Bguest_Alicante so you don’t miss any great plans or news.

We hope you enjoy this month full of magic and joy,
From the B Guest team, we wish you happy holidays <3
